The Burning Bush Charismatic Prayer Group
We welcome one and all to come, join us in praise & worship to the Lord in our weekly prayer meetings. Come, experience the joy of worship and fellowship as we share the Word of God, testimonies as well as exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit during our weekly sessions.
St Paul exhorts us in Eph 5 18-20: “Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praying to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks always and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father”
Every Wednesday evening 8.15pm at St Joachim’s Hall

“The Burning Bush is not consumed by fire and shine forth for the glory of God, always guided by the Holy Spirit”
Origin of “The Burning Bush”
Exodus 3:1-6 – Meanwhile Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. Leading the flock across the desert, he came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There an angel of the LORD appeared to him in fire flaming out of a bush. As he looked on, he was surprised to see that the bush, though on fire, was not consumed. So Moses decided, “I must go over to look at this remarkable sight, and see why the bush is not burned.” When the LORD saw him coming over to look at it more closely, God called out to him from the bush, “Moses! Moses!” He answered, “Here I am.” God said, “Come no nearer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. I am the God of your father,” he continued, “the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.”
More about us
- The Burning Bush is the place to encounter the Living God. It is also where God calls Moses to service to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Like Moses, we hear the call to service at St Anne’s Church to bring the renewal of the Holy Spirit to the parish through The Burning Bush Charismatic Prayer Group.
- At every Prayer Meeting we worship, God is present in our midst, ever glorious in the praise of His people. Therefore as the burning bush is on holy ground in the presence of God, the ground where we stand on and worship too is HOLY!
- We endeavor to burn like the burning bush, on fire but not consumed. To be on fire for the Lord, empowered by the Holy Spirit and in wisdom and discernment, exercise our charisms for His glory!
- Moses found God who makes every impossible situation a possibility at the burning bush. When the mission seems difficult, God empowers and equip. Like Moses, we envisioned the The Burning Bush to be the place where many people will find the Lord of possibilities.
